What this site knows about you
Almost nothing. There are no cookies, no ads and no login. Nothing is stored in your browser to track you.
This page says what does happen, so you can check it.
Counting visitors
The site counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. A small script sends the address of the page, the referrer and some loading speed numbers to Cloudflare.
Cloudflare says it does not use cookies and does not fingerprint visitors by IP address or user agent. Readtheir privacy policy for the details.
Opting out
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the script is never loaded. Content blockers work too, and the site is fine without it.
Other places the site talks to
GitHub Pages hosts the site. GitHub sees your IP address, like any web host does.
The scans and avatars you see are served by this site itself. The zoom viewer is different. It is loaded from cdnjs.cloudflare.com, but only when you open it, and the zoom tiles come from the book's own image storage (Cloudflare R2).
Pages with replies check ruby.social for newer replies after they load. That request goes to ruby.social, and the picture of a reply that is newer than the last build can be loaded from ruby.social's image host.
